The Ashanti Regional Education Directorate is undertaking significant improvements to its office facilities as part of ongoing efforts to create a more modern, functional and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

The two-storey buildings housing the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate are undergoing a major facelift, with improvements to the appearance and functionality of the premises already becoming evident.

The renovation incorporates modern aesthetic and functional elements designed to give the Regional Education Office a renewed outlook while creating a more conducive environment for the work of education administrators and personnel.

One of the most visible features of the transformation is the artwork positioned at the entrance to the premises, which provides a distinctive identity to the renovated facility and gives visitors a strong first impression of the Regional Directorate.

The improvements to the office complex form part of a broader focus on strengthening the environment within which education administration is carried out across the Ashanti Region.

Planned Improvements to the Premises

Further improvements to the Regional Education Office premises are also being considered as part of the development plans.

These include improvements to the car park, the construction of a security post and the establishment of a modern cafeteria to serve staff and visitors.

The proposed facilities are expected to further improve the functionality and overall experience of the Regional Education Office once completed.

Strengthening School Monitoring

Beyond improvements to its physical infrastructure, the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate is also strengthening its approach to school monitoring and professional support.

A Regional Monitoring Team (RMT) has been established, comprising experienced educators and education administrators.

The team is tasked with visiting schools across the region to provide professional support and guidance, assess school operations and promote compliance with Ghana Education Service policies, rules and regulations.

The initiative is intended to strengthen school administration, support effective teaching and learning, and help ensure that schools have the appropriate human-resource arrangements required for quality education delivery.

Emphasis on Innovation and Technology

The Directorate is also placing greater emphasis on innovation and the use of technology in education administration and service delivery.

These efforts are aimed at encouraging modern approaches to education management and supporting initiatives that can contribute to improved outcomes across the pre-tertiary education sector.

A Broader Focus on Education Delivery

The improvements to the Regional Education Office and the initiatives being implemented across schools reflect a broader focus on strengthening the systems and environment that support education delivery in the Ashanti Region.

Under the leadership of the Regional Director of Education, Dr. William Kwame Amankrah Appiah, the Directorate continues to pursue initiatives focused on effective administration, school monitoring, innovation and improved working conditions for education personnel.
