The Ashanti Regional Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) provides leadership, coordination, supervision and support for pre-tertiary education across the Ashanti Region.

The Directorate works closely with District Education Directorates, schools, teachers, learners, parents and other education stakeholders to promote quality, equitable and inclusive education throughout the region.

Through its various departments and units, the Regional Education Directorate provides professional guidance, monitors education delivery, supports schools and strengthens the capacity of education personnel to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

The Directorate also works to promote innovation, effective use of technology, accountability and continuous improvement in education administration and service delivery.

With responsibility for education delivery across the region’s 43 District/Municipal/Metropolitan Education Directorates, as well as direct oversight of 144 Senior High Schools under its mandate, the Ashanti Regional Education Directorate plays a central role in advancing Ghana’s education objectives within the region.
